Lumos Helmet LU-ULEBM-W-ML Sport-Kopfbedeckung Weiß

The new Lumos Ultra e-bike helmet MIPS is the world's first intelligent e-bike helmet. The new helmet is based on its predecessor, the Lumos Ultra bicycle helmet, and is certified according to NTA-8776 for speeds of up to 45 km/h .

It features a scratch-resistant face shield with integrated side lights that also function as front indicators. The helmet features a new fit system with improved contouring and feel.

The Lumos Ultra e-bike is equipped with a number of intelligent safety features that make cycling safer. These include the integrated indicators, which are operated with a wireless remote control or by hand signal with the Apple Watch. As standard, the new ULTRA e-bike is equipped with integrated lighting on the front and back for better visibility. Two additional LED lights have now been installed in the integrated face shield to extend visibility to 360 degrees.

Thanks to the improved Circuitry-on-Board (COB) lightweight construction technology, the helmet weighs 490g/520g (MIPS). Nevertheless, the lighting is brighter than the other Lumos models. The Ultra is now equipped with a battery autonomy of more than 10 hours. The helmet is charged via a USB-C charging cable.

Lumos also offers an app that checks the battery level, makes adjustments to the helmet settings and includes integrated track recording.

MIPS ist ein Sicherheitssystem für Helme allerart. Es wurde von 5 schwedischen Wissenschaftlern des KTH (Königlich Technische Hochschule) in Stockholm entwickelt und ist das Ergebnis von 30 Jahren Arbeit.

MIPS steht für Multi Directional Impact Protection System, auf gut deutsch: Es ist ein System, welches vor Aufschlägen mit unterschiedlichen Bewegungsrichtungen und Kraftrichtungen schützen soll. Diese unterschiedlichen Kraftrichtungen entstehen bei Schlägen, die unter einem Winkel auf den Helm treffen .
